Q&A: Question for you Canadians??!?
Question by Dolyn: Question for you Canadians??!?
My husband is Canadian, and we were having a conversation about all the reasons people Americans don’t want universal health care (I’m totally for it by the way!) I told him we only see the bad, and not the good. Yeah, maybe it takes 2 years to get a breast reduction, where if you pay out of pocket here you can get it in 2 weeks. But, if you care about your community as a whole, you see it as a necessary sacrifice to make sure EVERYONE is cared for. I’m preaching to… Continue reading

Healthier America
Universal healthcare allows the average American to participate in health related treatments and checkups without poking a hole through their wallet. Over the last few decades, the United States has experienced soaring costs in health care and there is a growing debate about the possible solutions. The outrageous cost of healthcare will only increase in the coming years and this will augment the amount of Americans who remain uninsured. Millions of Americans lack any form of… Continue reading

What is your favorite straw man argument for health care reform?
Question by Thor bless the USA: What is your favorite straw man argument for health care reform?
opponenets, feel free to pick any straw man arguemtn from the below, and my response to it. If you still disagree using a different argument, feel free.

“It is poor quality.”
—Says who? Our nation… Continue reading

Religious Degree Scams: Fraudulent, Substandard & Illegal Degrees
The prevalence of fraudulent, substandard, and illegal diplomas and degrees is an ever-increasing problem in the United States.
The United States Congress has found that the safety of the American public is particularly endangered by the sale of fraudulent degrees, and that the preeminence of the United States in science and engineering, as well as the prestige and reputation of American universities, is threatened by the trafficking of fraudulent degrees, diplomas, and certifications. (109th Congress, 2006)
Religious and theological degrees and other degrees from religiously affiliated institutions are some of the most commonly issued fraudulent, substandard and illegal credentials. The reason… Continue reading

Life Insurance 07 – Characteristics of Universal Life Insurance
