It’s going to depend on the average age, and if you’re including spouses or not, and if you’re including part timers or not . . .and for 10 people, they’re going to look at each person’s health history, also.
NO ONE is going to give you a rate blind. And you’re not going to be able to get one over the internet, either.
If you want a WAG, (Wild a** guess), it’s going to be around $500 a month per person, if the average age is 40, no spouses or dependents, and everyone is in pretty good health.
it’s not as simple as just telling you the rates. thats impossible.
do you have a broker, if so then they can do all the work. if not as a small business owner, you have to make the calls. i can help you to better prepare your call if you do not have a broker.
1 – how many employees do you have
2 – what type of coverage do you need – this means, are you happy with having coverage in CA only, or do you think you need to find coverage w/ a nationwide network.
3 – do you want a deductible plan or a copay plan
4 – how much are you able to pay a month in premium
5 – how healthy are you and your employees
it is good to know the answers to these questions b/c your premium (rates) are based on the type of plan you choose. it is based on how many employees you have and your claims history. rates are mostly based on utilization – meaning how often and how expensive your doctors visits are.
i’m sorry, but unless an underwriter or small sales rep from BCBS of CA answers w/ a list of rates for you, you will need to make some calls.
one other thing you may be able to do – i don’t know if they do, but some insurers allow you to pull of quotes from their website. have you tried to do that?
